Gary Shinkle, who spent the last 18 years as Cincinnati Training Coordinator, has officially retired.
Following a staff meeting and lunch on Nov. 1, Business Manager Rodney French, with help from the Local 24 staff, presented Brother Shinkle with a proclamation from Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley.
The Mayor’s proclamation thanked Brother Shinkle for his years of dedication and service and proclaimed Nov. 1, 2017 as Gary Shinkle Day.
The members, officers and staff of Sheet Metal Workers Local 24 congratulate Brother Shinkle on his retirement and thank him for his 45 years of dedicated service to Local 24.
“I want to thank Gary for his dedication and leadership to our Local and the Cincinnati JATC,” said French. “For 18 years as Cincinnati Training Coordinator, Gary shared his industry knowledge with countless apprentices and journeymen. He will be missed.”
In retirement, Brother Shinkle plans to stay involved with the Cincinnati JATC as much as possible, while still enjoying his newfound free time.
