Two Sheet Metal Local 24 members were presented with their 70-year pins.
In the South Point region, Business Rep. Jeff Rowe presented a 70-year pin to Brother Vernon Martin.
This was a special event for both Rowe and Martin (pictured above).
Rowe said it was first time he has presented a member with a 70-year award.
The 89-year old Martin joined the union in 1948.
Rowe presented the pin to Brother Martin at Wingate Retirement Home in Proctorville, where he currently resides.
Martin told Rowe that he enjoyed his time being a Sheet Metal Worker, working for contractors HT Boggs Inc. and Aero Fab Inc.
Cincinnati Business Representatives Mark Hamant and Jeff Mueller presented Raymond Hoffman his 70-year award.
Hoffman was initiated into the Sheet Metal Union in 1949 and retired after a 42-year career in 1991.
On behalf of the members, officers and staff, we congratulate Brothers Hoffman and Martin on receiving their 70-year pins and thank them for their dedication to our union.
